Start at
trailhead at Spooner Lake. Follow sings to the beginning of the Flume
Trail via North Canyon Road. Head up North Canyon Road, a steady though
scenic fire road climb.
4.0 miles after a steep uphill section the fire road starts to head
downhill
4.8 miles left towards west side of Marlette Lake at multi-trail
intersection overlooking the lake.
6.2 miles beginning of Flume Trail. After a short downhill, the trail
turns flat as it hugs a steep hillside.
9.6 miles right on Tunnel Creek Rd. Steep uphill.
10.1 miles right on Tahoe Rim Trail. After an easy section, trail
begins to climb steeply. Prepare to walk through some rocky sections.
15.4 miles right on fire road towards Marlette Lake
17.1 miles back at Marlette Lake overlook. Head left on North Canyon
Road.
21.9 miles Finish

Note: This section of Tahoe Rim Trail only open to bikes on
even-numbered days.
Start at
parking lot at Tahoe Meadows. Find Tahoe Rim Trail heading south
through meadow parallel to main road. Trail crosses a creek and enters
the woods, joining a connector trail.
0.6 miles stay right at junction with Ophir Creek Trail. Rim Trail
meanders moderately near ridgeline for 7 miles before descending to
turn- around point at 9.0 miles.
9.0 miles turn around and return to trailhead
18.0 miles Finish
